Mrs. Lugo’s Art I students have been working on portraits in class.
Coach Bowen’s Outdoor Adventure class has been working on a unit called Trapping and they have several live traps on the two creeks behind the stadium. They recently caught several raccoons and an opossum.

Before or after they are fun and friendly, but once the clock starts ticking, the basketball starts flying, the opponent starts chirping, and they become a ferocious and relentless force. You have to see it to believe it and it amazes me every time. I cherish every second watching them hustle and work!
Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams and their coaches! The 7th grade A team won 1st place and the 8th grade won 2nd place in the Mt. Vernon Tournament this weekend. Go Tigers!
The Mount Pleasant Junior High School Theatre Department presented their One Act Play, “House at Pooh Corner,” at the Junior High One Act Play competition in Sulphur Springs on December 7. Madeline Simmons was named to the All-Star Cast and Clayton Miller was named Honorable Mention All-Star Cast. Ava Bliss was awarded All-Star Crew member.
Mrs. Lugo’s Art II students did a study based on Georgia O’Keeffe and her watercolor techniques. They then had to choose a painting and reproduce it in her style.
