On Friday, March 3rd, twenty-eight members of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at Mt. Pleasant Junior High School (MPJHS) traveled to Winfield ISD to read to their Kindergarten through 3rd grade students.

What did they read? Well, since the day was celebrating the March 2nd  birthday (a day late) of Theodore Seuss Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss, they read books by, who else, Dr. Seuss.

This is the second-year Winfield ISD has invited the MPJHS NJHS students to read to their students.

“It was a wonderful experience,” said Maggie Ortega, MPJHS teacher and sponsor of the Junior Honor Society, “Our NJHS students enjoyed reading to the students at Winfield ISD.”
