Mission Statement 

The Mount Pleasant Child Nutrition Services Department operates all meal service for the Mount Pleasant Independent School District. Beginning with the Child Development Center and ending with the Mount Pleasant High School, the MPISD Child Nutrition Department provides approximately 2,100 breakfasts, 4,550 lunches and 1,500 snacks every day for Mount Pleasant school children.

It is the number one priority of the Mt. Pleasant ISD Food Service Department to ensure that all the students who patronize our cafeterias are met with positive, friendly and caring servers who offer nutritious, appetizing meals. It is also our goal to help the children of Mt. Pleasant ISD learn to make healthy food choices and better understand the concept of portion control through nutrition education.

The Mt. Pleasant ISD Food Service is operated under an agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture as over seen by the Texas Department of Agriculture to provide wholesome, nutritious meals to our students under the regulations of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program and the Child Adult Care Food Program. It is the responsibility of the Mt. Pleasant ISD Food Service Department to comply with all United States Department of Agriculture rules and regulations in regard to these programs.

Cafeteria Charge Policy 

As a courtesy to our patrons, MPISD has a $15 maximum charge limit. No snack bar items, extra ala carte items or ala carte drinks may be charged. If you have any questions regarding this policy, email Laura Stewart at lstewart@mpisd.net or call the Child Nutrition Services Department at 903-575-2096.

Mt. Pleasant ISD Food Services welcomes prepayment of both student and adult lunch accounts. To prepay on your child's account, please place the form of payment in the amount desired into an envelope with your chld's name and lunch account number on the envelope and drop it off at your child's school office or cafeteria.
