By 8:10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26 everyone was on the bus: the MPHS pep band, cheerleaders, the Tiger mascot and members of the Board of the MPISD Foundation. It was to be a memorable morning. They were off to award $35,451.23 in Educator Grants to 35 teachers on all eight Mt. Pleasant ISD campuses.
All of those who live in Mt. Pleasant School District are invited to participate in discussions concerning the school bond proposal that is on the ballot this May.
Eight Mount Pleasant Independent School District Destination Imagination (DI) teams competed on Saturday, February 23rd at Poteet High School in Mesquite, Texas. There were 297 teams from the East Texas region of DI. At the end of the day, five MPISD teams brought home medals for their efforts.

MPISD celebrated “Read Across America Day” on Thursday, February 28th and Friday, March 1st in honor of Dr. Suess’s birthday. Campuses read to their students in groups and local community members were invited to read to classes as well. Mr. Marshall enjoyed his time reading to students at Frances Corprew Elementary!

Corprew Elementary School 4th grader Lachlan Miles created a Solar Oven and compared the efficiency of electrical ovens, microwave ovens, and the solar oven when making s’mores. We are so proud of him for representing Frances Corprew at the Region 8 Science Fair!
