Mount Pleasant High School junior Nathon Segovia has earned the Academic All American Award from the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA). The award recognized academic rigor, competitive success and personal excellence.
According to NSDA Executive Director J. Scott Wunn, from the more than 141,000 student members of the NSDA, fewer than 500 earn this award every year. Segovia’s achievement places him among the top half of one-percent of the organization’s student members across the country.
Segovia is the son of Jose and Jehovana Segovia.
